Recognizing the importance of relationships, Marriage and Family Life at The Vineyard is committed to equip and support couples and families of all ages in building joy-filled, God-honoring lives together.  The Vineyard offers several ministries to meet you at your place of need and help you strengthen and build lasting relationships.

EQUIPPING

Improving our relationships really is possible. Our goal is to help equip you with the skills and knowledge to live and love even better than you do today.

Classes and Workshops

Throughout the year, various classes and workshops are offered in order to encourage relationship growth in a specific area such as:

Parenting
Marriage Enrichment
Blended Families
Communication
Sexual Intimacy
and more

Classes typically run for several weeks at a time and are usually offered as part of our Kingdom Living program. Workshops are typically held as a weekend event. Check with the church for the next available class or workshop.

Marriage Retreats

A great marriage isn’t a mystery, but a mastery of certain skills. Our annual Marriage Retreat is designed to help couples focus on their relationship and improve those skills for a more fulfilling marriage. Just the right mix of helpful information, interactive exercises and downtime for fun make these events memorable and impactful.  Relaxing and connecting with other married couples adds to the enjoyment of these weekends.  Contact the church for more information.

MENTORING

Seeing things from a different perspective can literally change our lives at times. That’s why we offer mentoring to anyone seeking to improve their marriage relationship.

Whether you’re engaged, newlywed or starting a family, mentoring can provide great insight and support as you go through life together.

Mentors are not counselors, but specially trained individuals who will listen to your hopes and dreams while sharing their own journey with you. Using the nationally acclaimed PREPARE/ENRICH assessments, our mentors can help you identify your relational strengths and growth areas to help you build a stronger marriage.

Mentoring involves being paired with a mentor couple for a set period of time. You may meet for dinner occasionally or just get together to talk.  You determine the length of your relationship and what you want to work on. You’ll get a chance to learn from others who have already traveled some of the roads you’re on.

If you’re seeking to be married at The Vineyard, mentoring is one of the components of our Building A Marriage That Lasts program required for engaged couples.

COUNSELING

Sometimes, we discover our relationships need more help than we initially realized. That’s good. We believe it is a sign of strength, not weakness, to acknowledge the need for help. Proverbs 15:22 says, “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.”

Recognizing our inability to manage some situations alone can be the first step to real success in life. In cooperation with The Vineyard’s Community Care Ministries (CCM), we offer Christ-centered care for couples and families in crisis. CCM provides specially trained lay counseling and support groups from a Christian perspective to help you work through deeper issues that need to be addressed. Your care is kept in the highest confidence.  Our goal is to help you live the most abundant life possible with your spouse and family.

Family relations
