Created for Community!

Every person has been created for community-with God and with others. But in our high-tech, commuter culture, genuine high-touch community is difficult to find. Healthy relationships seem rare, even though everyone recognizes that it is not good to be alone.

Where Community Happens!
The Vineyard Church is made up of people in various stages of their spiritual journey. Some are rookies. Some are veterans. Together, we stand on the ancient truth of the Bible and look toward a bright future. And we experience both the joys and challenges of following Jesus in a rapidly changing world.

A Community of Contemporary Worship

There is a longing in our hearts to experience more of God. This spiritual thirst is satisfied as we worship God and experience His loving leadership in our lives. God seeks a community of worshipers. He desires to reveal himself, to show who he is. As we draw close to God, he draws close to us, and offers the greatest gift we could ever receive: intimate friendship with him.

A Community Connected to God

There is more to worship than singing a few songs at Christmas and Easter. In worship, we tell the Creator of the universe what we think and how we feel about Him. We also pause to learn from Him as we pay careful attention to His Word of instruction to us.

Worship music expresses our heart-felt love and helps us "connect" with God. Though contemporary in style, the experience of worship is really an ancient spiritual practice that includes music, teaching, confession, Communion, prayer, giving and friendship.

A Community of Family and Friends

A faceless, electronic "virtual community" of disembodied words and spiritless images won't satisfy our need to know God and be known by others-face to face. Augustine, a wise 5th century church leader said, "You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in You."

The Vineyard Church is knit together through relationships. An important way we build relationships is through "Home Groups." These small groups of friends meet once a week in homes for worship, sharing, study, prayer and fun.

A Community of Continual Learning

The Bible is God's guidebook for spiritual growth. It contains ancient widsom with practical outcomes for our spiritual journey. It is intended as a guide to straighten and strengthen our lives bringing us "in sync" with God's loving intentions for us.

At the Vineyard, we offer the ALPHA course, a practical introduction to the Christian faith used in thousands of churches. We also have a variety of courses to help you continue to grow in many areas of life.

A Community of Compassion in Action

We study the Bible not to just gain information about God, but to receive spiritual transformation and direction so that we can help others. Our goal is to prepare people to serve. In Jesus' kingdom you are never taller than when you humble yourself to serve someone in need.

A Community for Kids

The Vineyard Church is a great community for kids. Little ones. And big ones too! We train children-and their parents-to learn how to put God first in their lives.

Junior and senior high school students will also find ways to know God and grow. From the adventure of doing an overseas mission project, to the outrageous fun of a lock-in, we direct the energies of youth upward to God, and outward in service.
