We are not created to walk through life alone! Through our relationship with God and relationships with others, we experience healing. Community Care Ministries at The Vineyard is designed to help others by walking alongside of them in the journey of life.

Whether it is a crisis situation, addiction, trauma, relational struggle, spiritual question, or ongoing issue, Community Care provides a safe, supportive, and confidential environment to address needs.

All of us encounter struggles, hurts, and areas of brokenness, but it is God’s desire to restore, redeem, and renew us. Through the love of our heavenly Father and our embracing who we are in Christ, Community Care Ministries seeks to join in the work of the Holy Spirit in people’s lives so that they may experience freedom and joy.

An Honest Look at Sexual Integrity & Addiction

November 18th: 9:00-4:30 p.m. & November 19th: 9:00-12:30 p.m.
Cost: $89 per person; child care is available, 10 CEU's are available

Dr. Mark Laaser, a leading expert in the field of Sexual Addiction, will be speaking with his wife, Debbie. Mark and Debbie have authored over 9 books including Healing The Wounds of Sexual Addiction, and Shattered Vows: Hope and Healing for Women Who Have Been Sexually Betrayed. This conference will look at what is sexual integrity and how to live in it, signs and symptoms of sexual addiction, help and healing for those struggling, and how to help the sexually betrayed spouse. This conference is open to anyone struggling in the area of sexual addiction and is especially helpful for those who help others in this area (pastors, counselors, social workers, etc). Women's Life Care Group/Personal Growth Group

September 12th-February 20th: This group is currently closed to new members
Struggling with anger, fear, anxiety or shame? Need help handling conflict or setting boundaries? Do you want to learn how to serve others or how to balance work and play? Why not join a Life Care Group. This group is appropriate for all women seeking greater insight and healing in their lives. You do not have to feel you are in a crisis to need this group. Life Care Groups consist of five to ten women who meet weekly to focus on gaining greater insight and healing in their life. Each week a specific topic related to personal growth is discussed. Each person leaves the group with their own personal growth plan, which address spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical goals. Child care is provided. Invite a friend and register today!

Beginning October 24th!

13 weeks
6:30-8:30 p.m.

We all face struggles and losses in life, and the loss of someone we love is especially painful. It is one of the most difficult situations that we will encounter in life. It is during this time that we need the support and encouragement from others. Beginning October 24th, and running for thirteen weeks, we will be offering a care group for those going through the painful season of loss. Whether the loss was recent, or far in the past, this group can help. It is open to both men and women. Registration is required at www.slvineyard.org and the group must have a minimum of five participants. Child care is also provided. Individual Lay Counseling

Lay Counseling is offered throughout the year for individuals who wish to meet in a one-on-one setting with a counselor. Lay counselors have completed training in basic counseling skills, biblical principles, are involved in regular continuing education, and receive weekly ongoing supervision by a Licensed Professional Counselor. Lay counseling usually takes place over the period of ten sessions with a requested minimal donation of ten dollars per session.

Professional Counseling

Professional counseling is available for individuals, couples, and families by a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who is on staff at the Vineyard. We also offer counseling provided by a Licensed Professional Counseling Intern. A counseling intern is an individual who has graduated with his/her Master's degree, passed the state counseling exam, and is currently working to complete the mandated counseling hours determined by the state of Texas (3,000 total hours). They hold a temporary license until there hours are complete and are supervised regularly by the Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor on staff.  Additionally, referrals are provided to area professionals who have a relationships with the Vineyard and who specialize in various issues. A per session fee is required.
