Vineyard Women

I'm Nancy Southern, the Women's Pastor.  Please click on a post below to see my blog.  I'll post when I have something to say and time to write.  Actually, I probably have something I want to say fairly often, so posting frequency will be limited to when I have time to write.

Remember, this is a blog. It is my thoughts, sort of "raw and uncut."  So be prepared:)

Who are Vineyard Women?

There is in one sense no way to categorize a Vineyard woman since we are so diverse.  We have a variety of interests, have a wide spectrum of ages, some of us are married with kids, some of us are single, some of us like sports, some of us like crafts...we are different.

And yet, in another sense, we are the same.  We are women.  We are women joined together by the Spirit.  We believe that we are created in the image of God and that he pours out his gifts upon us.  We enjoy how our differences help us to understand more of who God is, as each of us bring our perspectives, gifts, and ideas.

We are women.  We are different...and we are the same. It is our desire that you join us in our discovery of God and who God has made each of us to be.

“For we are what he has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life” (Ephesians 2:10, NRSV).

The Well

Come to The Well

We read in John 4 about Jesus encounter with a Samaritan woman at a well.  At that well, Jesus asked the woman for a drink of water.  Jesus went on to tell her that if she'd really known who he was, she would have asked him for a drink of living water, water that would quench her thirst forever.  When she questioned him about this living water, he didn't give her a direct answer.  Instead he told her things about her life.  She came to understand that Jesus was the Messiah.  She then told the town and many believed through her testimony.

The Well is a place to encounter Jesus, to ask him to quench our thirst with his living water, to open ourselves to hear what he sees in our souls, and to better understand him as Savior.  The Well is where we gather and then, when we leave, we share our testimony with the world.

The Well will begin again in September.  It is every other Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m.
